Common questions
Hourly or fixed price?
Home cleaning is often offered as a subscription with a fixed monthly fee or an hourly rate, while deep cleaning and move-out cleaning more often have a fixed price based on square metres and scope.
How does the RUT deduction work for cleaning?
You get 50 percent of the labour cost as a tax reduction, up to 75,000 SEK per person per year for RUT services. Many companies handle the claim with Skatteverket and show the price after RUT directly (Skatteverket).
How does payment usually work?
Most common is an invoice after the work with a payment period, for example 20 days. Some offer e-invoicing. Material and call-out fees can appear on a separate line because they do not qualify for RUT.
Is there a quality guarantee on cleaning?
Serious cleaning companies often give a 1-2 day guarantee for deep cleaning and move-out cleaning and fix any shortcomings quickly if you are not satisfied.
