When you buy a new computer, phone, tablet or TV, a technician can set it up, move your files across and connect everything to your home. For private individuals this work in the home is RUT-eligible, so you pay about half the labour.

I bought a new computer, can you set it up?

Yes. Many offer a ready-to-start service: unpacking, installing or updating Windows, removing unnecessary pre-installed programs, and installing important updates and basic programs.

Can you move my files from the old computer to the new one?

Yes. File transfer of documents, photos, email and bookmarks is a common service, often as a fixed price or hourly.

Can you install a printer, scanner, TV and similar?

Yes. Installing a printer, scanner, TV, sound system and other devices is often included in services for private individuals, at your home or by remote help.

Can you help with my phone and tablet?

Yes. Many companies help with settings, backup, transferring photos and contacts, and basic troubleshooting of smartphones and tablets. Work done in the home is RUT-eligible (Skatteverket).
